THE OTHER ONE: THE LONG, STRANGE TRIP OF BOB WEIR

As interesting as this documentary is, it still largely comes off as a bunch of aged, drug-addled hippies reminiscing.

Also, how could The Dead not have foreseen that having people follow them around to every single gig they played would eventually result in mainstream success through shere force of numbers?

As well, even though most of the band's fans probably are not drug users as is popularly believed, the association of the sixties with drugs and the bands use of these substances themselves should have tipped the members of The Grateful Dead off that their concerts would one day become excuses for people to get high.

The film also contains a lot of occult talk and imagery, from the Buddha and Shiva statues in Weir's living room to talk about existing on multiple plains and humanity being one entity along with the rest of the universe.
