THE INCREDIBLES

This was a good popcorn movie that was on the whole actually pretty funny.

This movie really helped me underscore the difference between British and American comedy. For Christmas I received "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and "The Meaning of Life." "The Incredibles" reinforced for me how British humour tends to be subtle and American humour tends to be in your face. "Yeah, we're a family of superheroes, ha ha ha" whereas if it had been a British movie they would have shown several minutes of normal life before springing the superhero on the audience.

The film's theme is interesting, too, as Hollywood is run by the same people who try to destroy everyone's uniqueness. "They keep thinking up new ways to celebrate mediocrity" when Hollywood celebrates mediocrity most of the time.
