ISAIAH 1-4

"the ox knoweth his owner and the ass his master's crib Israel doth not know my people doth not consider"

Today, God's Israel people are dumber than a jackass.

"why should ye be stricken any more ye will revolt more and more the whole head is sick and the whole heart faint"

Today, sin has pervaded into every facett of life in our society, including heavily into the church.

"your country desolate your cities burned with fire your land strangers devour it in your presence and desolate as overthrown by strangers"

Today our economy is going down the drain. Our cities are burned out and crime-ridden. International bankers control are land and resources.

"except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant we should have been as Sodom we should have been like unto Gomorrah"

Today, there is only a very small remnant of people who truly want to follow Jesus Christ and His Word alone. The rest just want to walk lockstep with their church organization or their favourite preacher, theologian or televangelist.

Isaiah 1 11-13: There are all these praise and worship events going on in the church world today, but God does not delight in them because the hearts of the people who usually attend these events aren't turned toward Him.

"your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth they are a trouble unto me I am weary to bear"

Christians observe Christmas and Easter (and Haloween and Valentine's Day besides), which are just pagan festivals dressed up in Christian garb. Christians need to get back to observing the feasts of the Old Testament, incorporating their new covenant meanings.

"come now and let us reason together saith the Lord though thy sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow though they be red like crimson they shall be as wool"

Christianity is the only religion where the deity says, "Come, let us reason this way of belief out together."

The crazy thing is that all we have to do to turn this nation around is ask for forgiveness from the Father and live His way instead of our own. It's that simple.

"thy silver is become dross thy wine mixed with water."

Today our fruit juices are watered down and full of chemicals and artificial colourings and flavourings. Our money is also getting more and more worthless by the day.

Isaiah 2 7-8: We've enjoyed one of the greatest periods of prosperity the world has ever known. We are like the church at Laodicia who thought they were blessed because of their material riches but were actually poor, blind and naked.

Isaiah 2 19-21: The globalists have built bunkers for themselves for when a day of great disaster comes.

"what mean ye ye beat my people to pieces and grind the faces of the poor saith the Lord God of hosts"

It has been said that if you want to know what communism (or any oppressive system of government) is like, just picture a giant boot stomping on your face.

Isaiah 3 17-24: Could this passage partially be referring to sexually transmitted diseases?

Isaiah 4: This chapter gives us a picture of what it will be like when Jesus returns and tabernacles with us on Earth.

JOHN 14

"in my father's house are many mansions if not I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you"

It has been said the word mansions is a mistranslation in the King James. Actually, it is more a denotation. A mansion denotes the dwellingplace of a person with authority. Thus, in Heaven, we will sit in these places, or seats of authority with the Father.

"Jesus saith unto him I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me"

Note Jesus did not say "I am one way, one truth and one life."

"verily verily I say unto you he that believeth on me the works that I do shall he do also and greater than these shall he do because I go unto my father."

This verse has a couple meanings.

First, we will do greater works than Jesus in that we will do the same works with greater impact. Where Jesus could only speak to crowds of thousands of people, Christians can now reach millions of people through means such as radio, television and the internet.

The second meaning of "greater works" is just what it says. As I have gotten closer to God in the past few years, I am starting to believe more and more that, when he said we could tell a mountain to be cast into the sea and it would be done, that means we are actually going to have to cast a mountain into the sea someday.

"and whatsoever ye shall ask in my name that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son if ye shall ask any thing in my name I will do"

Prosperity preaching is condemned by many and rightly so. Most of the people who pay attention to the bigtime prosperity preachers are too spiritually bankrupt to receive anything from the Father. If they got money, they would only spend it on their own pleasures. If they were cured of all their ailments, they would only use there new-found vitality towards vain self-satisfying pursuits.

However, we can not ignore verses in the Bible that say God wants us to prosper and be healthy. Many preachers will say it isn't true God wants this for us. After all, religion is the opiate of the people, designed to annesthetize people to their [problems and how bad things are.

Maybe, in certain cases, prospering is always having what you need. Maybe, in certain cases, being in good health is having a better day than others.

Let us consider this subject from yet another angle. How much more prosperous would people be if they didn't spend money on things like getting drunk, cigarettes and gunning for the 130-some million dollar lottery? How much more money would people have if they weren't always concerned about having the latest tech toys or other material goods the world tells them they need to have in order to even come close to amounting to anything?

How much healthier would people be if they didn't get drunk, smoke or use drugs? How much healthier would they be if they weren't always acting like every personal slight was a huge affront to them? How much more good health would they have if they weren't bitter, worried, anxious, or fearful?

JOSHUA 14-24

Joshua 14 10-11: This passage proves humans don't have to deteriorate as they age.

Joshua 20: How should manslaughter be handled under the law of God today? Since Christ is our high priest and he is eternal, the cities of refuge system wouldn't work for handling this problem. Thus, what penalty should a manslayer receive today?

ACTS 1-4

Acts 1 12-26: In choosing an apostle to replace Judas, the disciples didn't just go out into the street and say, "The last guy hung himself, want a job?" They didn't solicit resumes and pick the candidate who was the least worst either.

Acts 2 38: This verse with it's repentance and baptism for the remission of sin is the key verse of salvation. Repentance and baptism for the remission of sins are the two keys to the kingdom which Jesus spoke of at the last supper.

Acts 2 44-45: These verses correspond with the end of Acts 4. I don't know whether these corresponding passages make it manditory to give any money from the sale of possessions to the church. I would be more inclined to think this is a policy the early followers of Christ adopted for themselves, although doing as they did is certainly a good thing.

Acts 3 19: "repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"

We hear a lot these days about being sorry for your sins, but we don't hear as much about being converted. If someone is truly sorry for something, they'll take steps to make sure they don't commit that act again.

Acts 4 12: "Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved"

Hear that, all you sacred namers?

GENESIS 24-28

Genesis 24 45: "and before I had done speaking in mine heart behold Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder and she went down unto the well and drew and I said unto her let me drink I pray thee"

Eleazar was talking to God in his heart. This verse shows it is acceptible to pray silently.

HEBREWS 7-10

Hebrews 7 25: "wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them"

This passage shows that Jesus is our intercessor, not Mary or any of the other saints.

Hebrews 8 1: "now of the things which we have spoken the sum we have such an high priest who is set on the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens"

2000 years ago when this was written, Christ was already in the Holy of Holies, seated on the right hand of the Father. He didn't enter into the Holy of Holies in 1844 as the Seventh Day Adventists say.

Hebrews 9 27: This verse clearly disproves reincarnation.

Hebrews 10 26: This verse is clear on the subject of whether or not you can loose your salvation.

GENESIS 17-23

Genesis 17 5: God tells Abraham in this verse he will be the father of many nations, not a new, holy nation as the church is called in 1 Peter. This verse in Genesis provides further evidence for the Identity truth.

Genesis 18 23-32: The Lord already knew that there weren't any righteous people besides Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah. God is allowing Abraham to feel Him out and have this conversation with Him as a testimony to the Lord's mercy.

Genesis 19: What happened in Sodom and Gomorrah is a true story, people!

Genisis 19 8: When Lot offered up his daughters, this wasn't a desperate move made in a weak moment. Lot was being sarcastic because he knew the men wouldn't want them.

Genesis 19 30-38: Why does the Daily Bread devotional skip this passage?

Genesis 22 18: The white race has fed and clothed the entire world; the people whom this verse is commonly applied to, not so much.

Genesis 22 20-24: Why does the Daily Bread devotional skip this part?

MARK 16

Mark 16 17-18: This passage is one of the most contentious in the church. However, I have heard of a case where a Christian on trial for his faith drank poison and lived. The Book of Acts records an incident where a snake attached itself to Paul's hand but he lived. I have heard of instances of people speaking in tongues in a recognised human language and a person who was with them who spoke that language understanding what they were saying.
